How do you help a seventeen-year-old comprehend the long-term implications of taking on student loan debt? How do you help them understand the balance between investment in themselves and the cost of that investment? As a budgeting nerd, I created a spreadsheet to do just that. My kids can argue with me all they want, but they can't argue with the data.
